This A list director didn’t let anyone really know he was putting the actor/serial sexual assaulter/Oscar winner/nominee in his movie.

He wanted to give the actor a get out of jail free card because the director didn’t believe the women accusing the actor.

Casey Affleck, had settled two civil lawsuits in 2010 from women who worked on his mockumentary I’m Still Here, starring his then brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix.

The women, cinematographer Magdalena Gorka and producer Amanda White, sued Affleck for $2.25 million and $2 million.

At the time the suits were filed, Affleck denied the claims and threatened to countersue.

Affleck’s lawyer initially told People: “The complaint will be vigorously defended and cross-claims will be filed.” They never did counter-sue and settled out of court.


Casey Affleck played a military intelligence officer tasked with interrogating Oppenheimer, among others, about their possible affiliations with the Communist Party.

Boris Pash concluded that the Manhattan Project leader wasn’t a spy, and should remain a part of the nuclear development efforts.
