This foreign born one hit wonder who is probably B list at this point is shooting her shot at the rapper about to be sentenced and then deported for shooting a woman.

Sounds like a winning relationship.

Iggy Azalea

Tory Lanez

Shooting of: Megan Thee Stallion

Iggy Azalea has shown her support for Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, by submitting a letter of endorsement before his upcoming sentencing related to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

In her letter, Azalea writes that Lanez is not an abuser, adding that she herself is a victim of abuse and “she would not write to you on behalf of an abuser.”

“I deeply appreciate the person he is and have never witnessed him loose his temper or raise his voice at a woman. He’s always been incredibly respectful of me and I refuse to believe that he would do anything in malice especially to a woman.”

In the beginning of the letter, Azalea outlines her achievements, stating that she has enjoyed a prosperous music career spanning the past ten years. She highlights selling “more than 65 million records” and securing “number 1 hits on the billboard hot 100,” accomplishments that have even surpassed records formerly held by “The Beatles.”

She compares her success to that of presiding Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Herriford, writing, “Like yourself, I’m great at what I do and am well respected by my peers.”

Continuing, she urges Judge Herriford to show mercy in Lanez’s sentencing, appealing for a transformative rather than “life destroying” punishment. She also askes that Lanez be allowed to remain in the country after serving his sentence, emphasizing the importance of not resorting to deportation.

Azalea’s recommendation letter is among 76 others that have been submitted on Peterson’s behalf.

Azalea clarified her intentions for submitting the letter on Twitter, expressing her belief in offering rehabilitative punishments rather than discarding lives through severe penalties.

She said that she was under the impression that the letter was intended exclusively for the judge’s consideration and would not be made public.
