They had kept their relationship private for about two years before getting engaged in Utah while Lohan was filming.

Despite sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media, such as a deleted post mentioning Shammas as her boyfriend, they generally kept details under wraps.

The couple now resides in Dubai, where Lohan has been living for the past seven years.
