Blackpink, the popular K-pop group consisting of Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rose, will no longer work with YG Entertainment for their solo projects.

YG Entertainment announced that while the group remains signed to the agency as a unit, each member will pursue individual careers outside the agency.

Since forming under YG Entertainment in 2016, Blackpink has achieved significant global recognition and success, leading to speculation about the need to renegotiate their contract. The group’s recent world tour had 66 performances across 34 cities, attracting 2.1 million spectators.

Individually, the members have been expanding their presence in the entertainment industry with solo musical projects and other ventures. Jisoo recently released her debut solo single “Me,” Jennie launched a new label called Odd Atelier and made her acting debut in HBO’s “The Idol,” and the other members have also been involved in various projects.
