This surprising request occurred nine months after Jacobs, a 49-year-old songwriter, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the Nashville home he shared with Pickler. T

he autopsy had ruled it a suicide, but his parents filed court documents seeking comprehensive data from AT&T Subpoena Center and Apple’s law enforcement division, dating back to January 1, 2021.

The request included details such as “Beginning and ending switch and cell site/tower identifiers for each call.” Despite this legal development, Pickler decided not to take over her late husband’s estate, leaving matters in the hands of Jacobs’ parents.
