South Korean defense ministry allows BTS to perform at ‘national’ events during Military service. More details inside

Korean pop band BTS have finally got the clearance to perform at ‘national level’ events during their military service. However, the ‘bad news for the globally popular band is that they still need to complete the mandatory military service.

As per media reports from South Korea, the Defense Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that BTS members RM, J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, Jin, V, and Jung Kook could participate in the national events for the public good. The ministry stated that it would provide the band an opportunity to perform in any event designated for the national interest. All members of the BTS band had recently confirmed that they would be completing their mandatory military obligations.

Big Hit Music, the record label of BTS, said in its official statement that Jin, 29, will be the first to initiate the service. Jin will start the enlistment process soon after his solo number, The Astronaut releases on October 28. Subsequently, other members of the band will also initiate their mandatory service as per their personal plans. – Source
