Crown of thorns

Producers and directors and studios always love it when an actor tells press they hated the role they played and only took it for the money.

They especially hate it when the film hasn’t been released yet.

The foreign born former A+ list mostly movie actor is going to find it a little tougher to get those big paychecks if he keeps it up.

Oompa Loompa – Wonka (see video below)

During a press conference for the release of “Wonka,” Hugh Grant said he couldn’t have hated the whole thing more for playing an Oompa Loompa in the film.

He described the experience as wearing a “crown of thorns” due to the uncomfortable camera rig around his head.

Grant admitted to making a fuss about it, stating that he couldn’t have hated the whole thing more.

When asked if the ends justified the means, he responded with a blunt “Not really.”

Despite his aversion to the process, Grant humorously clarified that his dislike wasn’t personal against “Wonka” or director Paul King, joking that he engages in filmmaking because he has many children and needs the money.

Grant has five children in total:

Tabitha, 12, and Felix, 9 – with his ex, Tinglan Hong.

He also shares three children, ages 11, 6, and 5, with his wife, Anna Eberstein.
