Kevin Spacey has been acquitted of all charges in his sex crimes trial at Southwark Crown Court in London.
The actor, known for his roles in “House of Cards” and “American Beauty,” was facing nine charges, including sexual assault, involving four men and spanning from 2001 to 2013. Following the jury’s decision, Spacey expressed feeling “humbled” by the verdict while speaking outside the courthouse.
This isn’t the first time Spacey has been involved in a high-profile legal battle that garnered significant media attention.
Previously, he successfully defended himself against a $40 million civil case in New York, brought by Star Trek: Discovery star Anthony Rapp, who accused Spacey of sexually abusing him at a party when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26. However, the jury deliberated for a short time and concluded that Rapp had not provided sufficient evidence to support his allegations.
