Meet Me At The Lake, Netflix

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s company, Archewell Productions, has obtained the rights to the well-received book “Meet Me at the Lake.” They will partner with Netflix to transform this captivating story into a television series. Penguin Random House confirmed to Forbes that the couple will be adapting the narrative, which bears similarities to their own experiences.

The Sun, a British tabloid, estimated a potential investment of $3.8 million (£3 million) by Archewell Productions for the film rights. However, Penguin Random House did not confirm this.

The novel follows Will and Fern, who meet in their thirties, and explores themes of childhood trauma similar to Harry and Markle’s experiences, including parental loss in a car crash like Harry’s with Princess Diana. The book also touches on postpartum challenges, discussed openly by Markle in a 2021 interview with Oprah.

Set in Toronto, where Markle lived while dating Harry and filming “Suits,” the story addresses mental health struggles, a topic extensively covered by the prince in his memoir “Spare.”
