With the lead actress of the movie unwilling to do much, if anything to support its release next month, the director of the movie, who also acts, is full on call the paps all the time and drag the singer out with her as much as possible.

When that can’t happen, she arranged for him to be papped and photographed and interacting with people who will post their photos to social media.

It isn’t going to change the fact the movie is not that good.

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Drama: Olivia Wilde’s Messy “Miss Flo” Video Fuels Florence Pugh Feud Speculation

Olivia Wilde‘s alleged video plea to keep Shia LaBeouf on her film, Don’t Worry Darling, has leaked on the internet just one day after the actor included the clip in an email shared with Variety Thursday (Aug. 25). The video — which LaBeouf presented to support his claim that he was not fired from Wilde’s film, but willingly quit — is filmed inside a car, where Wilde attempts to reason with LaBeouf while driving.

“I feel like I’m not ready to give up on this yet, and I, too, am heartbroken and I want to figure this out,” she says in the clip.

Wilde then appears to mention Florence Pugh, who stars in Don’t Worry Darling as Alice, the wife of the character played by LaBeouf before he was replaced by Harry Styles. Wilde told Variety in a Wednesday (Aug. 24) cover story that she let go of LaBeouf to protect other actors, specifically Pugh, who is put “in very vulnerable situations” in Wilde’s film.

But in her alleged message to LaBeouf, Wilde asks the actor to “make peace” with Pugh, saying, “You know, I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo, and I want to know if you’re open to giving this a shot with me, with us. If she really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point and if you guys can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect hers — but if you guys can do it, what do you think? Is there hope? Will you let me know?”

The leaked video is the latest snafu in what’s snowballing into a messy press tour for Wilde, who has been promoting Don’t Worry Darling ahead of its September release. The film has been mired with rumor after rumor, including swirls of discontent between Pugh and Wilde. – Source

Florence Pugh Slams First Reactions to ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Harry Styles Sex Scenes: ‘We’re Better Than That’

Don’t worry, Florence Pugh is standing by “Don’t Worry Darling.”

The lead star of Olivia Wilde’s sophomore directorial feature, in theaters September 23 following a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, slammed fans and critics alike for only focusing on one thing: the sex scenes with Harry Styles in the steamy trailers. And yes, one particular kitchen cunnilingus scene comes to mind.

Pugh plays Alice, a suburban housewife who begins to question why the facade of her white picket fence life is beginning to crack. Alice’s husband Jack (Styles) works for a mysterious company run by a controlling boss (Chris Pine) who seems to run both the business and domestic lives of the town of Victory. But of course, all anyone seemed to talk about was Styles’ rumored nudity and the behind-the-scenes romance between Styles and Wilde.

The cover story also reported that in one scene featuring a “hardworking Styles and a most gratified Pugh, is going to generate some serious attention — and, if the devotion of Styles’s fan base is any indication, hysteria — when ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is released,” teasing that Wilde could only hint that the audience will be satiated. In the end, per Wilde, the film sets out for audiences to “realize how rarely they see female hunger, and specifically this type of female pleasure.” – Source
