Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki’s son, Marco Troper, passes away at 19
The son of former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, Marco Troper, has tragically passed away at the age of 19.
University of California, Berkeley spokesperson Janet Gilmore confirmed that on Feb. 13, a student residing in a housing complex on the Clark Kerr Campus was discovered unresponsive around 4:23 p.m. Troper’s grandmother, Esther Wojcicki, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook late on Feb. 14, expressing devastation over the loss.
The Berkeley Fire Department had responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures before pronouncing him dead.
While investigations are ongoing, there are no signs of foul play.
Esther Wojcicki disclosed to SFGate on Feb. 16 her belief that her grandson’s death resulted from a suspected drug overdose.
