Jesy Nelson breaks silence after announcing she’s quit Little Mix
Jesy Nelson has returned to social media for the first time since she announced on Monday (December 14) that she’d left Little Mix.
The singer was in the group for nine years and made the decision to leave so that she could focus on her mental health – she also opened up about the pressures that she felt while being part of a girl band.
Jesy thanked her fans on her Instagram stories and wrote: “I just want to say thank you so much to every one of you that has shown me so much love and support over the past few days. Some of your messages have made me feel so emotional and I appreciate it so much, love you all.”
Jesy’s departure from Little Mix comes after a representative for the band confirmed last month that she would be taking some “extended time off” from the group. She recently missed some of the band’s appearances such as the live finale of their show Little Mix: The Search and the Strictly Come Dancing results show.
Her ex-boyfriend, Love Island star Chris Hughes has also shown his support for Jesy and her decision. – Source
