July 28, 2023 – A report by the Houston Police Department on the 2021 Astroworld concert crush reveals that at least one security person, Marty Wallgren, tried to stop the show before the tragedy occurred. Wallgren informed members of Travis Scott’s team that the show needed to end while Drake was performing.

However, both Drake and Scott claim they didn’t receive the message, citing poor visibility due to lighting as an issue. The incident resulted in the death of 10 people and injuries to hundreds.

According to the report, during an interview with the police, Travis Scott stated that while he was on stage, he received a message in his earpiece saying, “Yo Trav, you got to wrap it up. It’s getting kinda hectic out there.” However, he claims that he was not informed of the severity of the situation until later.

Some items in the report were redacted by police because of privacy concerns and applicable law.
