They just wanted to make extra sure they landed the ultimate sports washing bid.

To get the leaders to manipulate everything the way they did though was incredibly heavy handed and no fan wants to attend an event in that country.

Saudi Arabia

FIFA –  2030 and 2034 men’s soccer tournaments

Saudi Arabia appears to be the front-runner and potentially the sole candidate in the race to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

The country gained an advantage when FIFA’s decision united Europe, Africa, and South America in a joint bid for the 2030 event, leaving Saudi Arabia as a prominent candidate for 2034.

Despite the co-hosting arrangement excluding these continents, FIFA’s president, Gianni Infantino, accelerated the hosting contest.

Only FIFA member federations from Asia and Oceania will be eligible to apply for hosting in 2034, and Saudi Arabia, with at least seven stadiums either built or under construction ahead of hosting the 2027 Asian Cup, is already in compliance with FIFA’s requirements.
