This back in the day A/A- list mostly movie actor says he can’t get work because of his beliefs.

No, it is because directors and cast and crew don’t like getting yelled at and working with someone who makes every day miserable.

James Woods: I was ‘blacklisted’ like Brendan Fraser but for my conservative politics

Now that The Mummy star Brendan Fraser has detailed the Me Too experience he believes derailed his career, liberal-loathing actor James Woods says he believes his career was stymied by the same man because he wasn’t a supporter of Hillary Clinton.

The man in question is Philip Berk, a former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association known for hosting the Golden Globe Awards. Fraser said in a GQ interview published Thursday that Berk groped his butt at a summer luncheon in 2003, an allegation Berk has denied.

Fraser, 49, said the alleged encounter left him depressed and reclusive, and that it messed with his sense of “who I was and what I was doing.” Work, he said, “withered on the vine for me. In my mind, at least, something had been taken away from me.”

With that Fraser became the latest member of an expanding, unhappy club of Hollywood figures — and one of the few men — who have accused powerful industry men of sexual harassment and assault.

Woods, 70, a longtime TV and film actor now “relaxing” in semi-retirement, has become better known lately as one of Hollywood’s hardy band of ardent conservatives, regularly dashing off thunderbolt tweets aimed at Democrats, liberals, Clinton and other targets of his ire.

Woods took to Twitter to back up Fraser and accuse Berk of “blacklisting” him because he didn’t support Clinton.

“I, too, was blacklisted by that individual at #HFPA after nine Golden Globe nominations,” he tweeted. “During a press junket with HFPA, he asked if I would support Hillary Clinton if she ever ran for president. Never nominated again.” – Source

Richard Gere says he’s been blacklisted in Hollywood because of Free Tibet views

Richard Gere says he’s become untouchable among Hollywood’s big studio projects, because his pro-Tibet views threaten a film’s success in the ever-lucrative Chinese market.
“There are definitely movies that I can’t be in because the Chinese will say, ‘Not with him’,” Gere told The Hollywood Reporter.

“I recently had an episode where someone said they could not finance a film with me because it would upset the Chinese.”

A prominent advocate for a free Tibet and friend to exiled leader the Dalai Lama, Gere’s criticism of Chinese human rights abuses in the disputed region – famously articulated during an impromptu speech at the 1993 Academy Awards – have seen him banned for life from China.

In 2008, the actor – who chairs two foundations in support of Tibetan independence – also earned the ire of Chinese authorities after calling for a boycott of the Beijing Olympics. – Source
