WWE chairman Vince McMahon was hit with a federal grand jury subpoena and a search warrant, as disclosed by the company in a recent SEC filing. The investigation involves legal demands for documents from both federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies.

Linda McMahon, Vince McMahon’s wife and former WWE CEO, took on a role in former President Donald Trump’s administration as the administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Vince McMahon’s federal search warrant and grand jury subpoena came to light shortly after former President Donald Trump, who is a close friend of McMahon’s, was indicted by a federal grand jury on felony charges linked to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

During the second and third quarters of the year, WWE reported expenses of $5.3 million and $7.1 million, respectively, related to another investigation conducted by a special committee formed by the company’s board.

McMahon has agreed to reimburse WWE for all reasonable costs associated with the special committee’s investigation, and he has already paid approximately $17.4 million to cover the incurred expenses.
