This former journalist turned prisoner, has survived multiple assassination attempts.

He knows his only hope of surviving hinges on a ruling not about whether he will be forced to come to this country, but whether or not all the information in a laptop is released.

A laptop that was being used to funnel nearly a half million documents to the journalist.

The owner of that laptop died under very controversial circumstances.

If the government is not forced to hand over the documents, the journalist thinks he will have a chance to live.

If the documents are handed over, he knows he will be killed before any can be released to the public.

This is especially so because of the actions of the diplomat, finally being brought to “justice.”

She was forced to do so, and now the foreign government needs to play ball.

He knows he is on a death watch and if the kill order is given, no one will step in to protect him.

Julian Assange

WikiLeaks

The owner of the laptop: Seth Rich

Diplomat: Anne Socoolas

The murder of Seth Rich occurred on July 10, 2016, at 4:20 a.m. in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Rich died about an hour and a half after being shot twice in the back. The perpetrators were never apprehended; police suspected he had been the victim of an attempted robbery.

The 27-year-old Rich was an employee of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and his murder spawned several right-wing conspiracy theories, including the false claim, contradicted by the law enforcement branches that investigated the murder, that Rich had been involved with the leaked DNC emails in 2016. It was also contradicted by the July 2018 indictment of 12 Russian military intelligence agents for hacking the e-mail accounts and networks of Democratic Party officials and by the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion the leaked DNC emails were part of Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections. Fact-checking websites like PolitiFact, Snopes, and FactCheck.org stated that the theories were false and unfounded. The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post wrote that the promotion of these conspiracy theories was an example of fake news. – Source

Fake justice from the puppet-masters: The persecution of Julian Assange

WASHINGTON — Merrick Garland and those who work in the Department of Justice are the puppets, not the puppet masters. They are the façade, the fiction, that the longstanding persecution of Julian Assange has something to do with justice. Like the High Court in London, they carry out an elaborate judicial pantomime. They debate arcane legal nuances to distract from the Dickensian farce where a man who has not committed a crime, who is not a U.S. citizen, can be extradited under the Espionage Act and sentenced to life in prison for the most courageous and consequential journalism of our generation.

The engine driving the lynching of Julian is not here on Pennsylvania Avenue. It is in Langley, Virginia, located at a complex we will never be allowed to surround: the Central Intelligence Agency. It is driven by a secretive inner state, one where we do not count in the mad pursuit of empire and ruthless exploitation. Because the machine of this modern leviathan was exposed by Julian and WikiLeaks, the machine demands revenge.

The United States has undergone a corporate coup-d’état in slow motion. It is no longer a functioning democracy. The real centers of power, in the corporate, military and national security sectors, were humiliated and embarrassed by WikiLeaks. Their war crimes, lies, conspiracies to crush the democratic aspirations of the vulnerable and the poor, and rampant corruption, here and around the globe, were laid bare in troves of leaked documents.

We cannot fight on behalf of Julian unless we are clear about whom we are fighting against. It is far worse than a corrupt judiciary. The global billionaire class, who have orchestrated a social inequality rivaled by pharaonic Egypt, has internally seized all the levers of power and made us the most spied upon, monitored, watched and photographed population in human history. When the government watches you 24 hours a day, you cannot use the word liberty. This is the relationship between a master and a slave. Julian was long a target, of course, but when WikiLeaks published the documents known as Vault 7, which exposed the hacking tools the CIA uses to monitor our phones, televisions and even cars, he — and journalism itself — was condemned to crucifixion. The object is to shut down any investigations into the inner workings of power that might hold the ruling class accountable for its crimes, eradicate public opinion and replace it with the cant fed to the mob. – Source

Sacoolas avoids jail time in death of UK teen

STORY: JUDGE BOBBIE CHEEMA-GRUBB: “…for the offence of causing the death of Harry Dunn by your careless driving…”

Anne Sacoolas, a U.S. government employee, was given an eight-month jail term suspended for 12 months by a London court on Thursday… for causing the death of 19-year-old Harry Dunn when she drove on the wrong side of the road in England in 2019.

It means she would only face prison if she commits another crime in Britain in the next year.

Sacoolas, the wife of a U.S. intelligence officer who was stationed in the UK at the time, fled the country after the crash, blamed her departure on pressure from the U.S. government.

She pleaded guilty by video link in October… and also appeared remotely on Thursday.

Sacoolas’ lawyers told the court their client had been advised not to attend in person.

JUDGE BOBBIE CHEEMA-GRUBB: “The reasons were that for the first time in these criminal proceedings, a barrier to your attendance emanating from the American government was relied on in support of the application.”

Dunn’s mother, Charlotte Charles, welcomed the sentence but said not showing up was cowardly.

“I think it’s despicable that she didn’t come over on the judges orders and yeah — huge, huge coward. [FLASH] We weren’t cowards, we didn’t back away from the U.S. government or the UK government in the beginning. We didn’t back down because we have values. Maybe she doesn’t.”

Dunn was riding his motorcycle near an air force base used by the U.S. military in the English county of Northamptonshire when he was hit by a car driven on the wrong side of the road by Sacoolas.

Sacoolas claimed diplomatic immunity from criminal prosecution after the crash, and the United States refused to extradite her.

The incident caused a spat between London and Washington and even lead to a meeting with then-U.S. President Donald Trump. – Source
