Maestro: Photos show Bradley Cooper meeting local teacher as Ely streets transformed for new film

The cathedral city of Ely was transformed last week as cast and crew arrived to film a new Netflix movie starring actor Bradley Cooper. During the visit, the Hollywood star posed for a photo with a local teacher whilst producers spent time speaking to the pupils at King’s Ely.

Excitement was in the air last week as Ely Cathedral and its grounds became the filming set for a new Netflix movie called ‘Maestro’, an American biographical film based on the life of musician Leonard Bernstein. Writer, director and star of the movie, Bradley Cooper, who is playing the role of Leonard Bernstein, delighted Ely residents in between filming.

One of these lucky few was King’s Ely teacher Lizelle Goosen who was thrilled as she posed for a photo alongside Cooper outside the cathedral. Some of the producers of ‘Maestro’ also took a quick break from filming and spent time with students at King’s Ely meeting the school’s Film Studies group and Principal, John Attwater. – Source
