This A/A- list actor all of you know, and almost everyone else does too, is trying to get custody of a grandchild because he thinks the child needs saving.

In a family dispute involving Chet Hanks’ daughter Michaiah’s maternal side, allegations of violence and bizarre behavior surfaced.

The child’s great-grandmother, Lula Owens, sought a temporary restraining order against her daughter Diane Owens, Michaiah’s grandmother, alleging fear of harm.

She claimed emotional stress led to hospitalization and accused Diane of controlling behavior and occasional violence, including threats and destruction within the home.

Despite these claims, a permanent restraining order was not issued, only a temporary one that has since expired.

Meanwhile, Chet has reportedly embraced fatherhood positively – who now has two years sober – after a period of personal struggle.
