Dave Chappelle Tests Positive for COVID-19 After Hanging Out with Grimes, Elon Musk, and Joe Rogan
Dave Chappelle is canceling all of his Texas stand-up performances after discovering that he contracted coronavirus.
A representative for the comedian confirmed to TMZ on Thursday that he is currently quarantining after testing positive, but has not yet experienced any symptoms. On Wednesday, Chappelle performed the first of five shows he had scheduled in Austin. He has been performing socially-distanced comedy shows since June on his farm in Ohio, which have gone off without a hitch thanks to rapid-testing for the audience and regular tests for himself and his crew.
After his first show earlier this week, Chappelle was photographed hanging out backstage at Stubb’s Amphitheater in Austin with his arms thrown around Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Grimes, none of whom were wearing masks. The photo raised fans’ concerns that this group could be unknowingly infected or accidentally spreading the illness.- Source
