Travis Barker’s recent move to Calabasas has sparked speculation that he did it to be closer to Kim Kardashian rather than Kourtney Kardashian, his current girlfriend. In an episode of The Kardashians, Kris Jenner revealed that Travis had moved to Calabasas years before his romance with Kourtney, stating that he did so because he considered Kim the love of his life, even though they weren’t close at the time.

Travis first moved to Calabasas in 2007 after his split from ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, and purchased a second house in the area in 2017. Fans noticed that Travis had previously dated Kim’s sister, Kim Kardashian, briefly before making the move. In his autobiography, Travis mentioned giving Kim advice about reality shows when they were in Amsterdam together in 2006. However, Travis has denied any romantic involvement with Kim, while Shanna has claimed that he cheated on her with Kim.

Travis also spoke about his initial attraction to Kim in a 2015 interview with Us Weekly, saying: “How could you not stare at Kim? Mind you, I enjoyed hanging out with Paris, but I love curvy girls. Kim was eye candy. I was in no way disrespectful to Paris, but I couldn’t keep my eyes off Kim.”

Last year, Travis and Shanna’s daughter, Alabama, shared a screenshot of a text message alleging that Shanna caught Travis having an affair with Kim. Shanna further claimed to have evidence of their conversations and witnesses to the affair.

In the post, Alabama said that her mom has “never completely been in [her] life” and asked followers to “stop painting her out to be an amazing mom.”

Part of the lengthy text that was seemingly from Shanna read: “I divorced Travis because I caught him having an affair with Kim! Now he’s in love with her sister… It’s all gross.”

And speaking to Us Weekly last May, Shanna said of Kim and Travis: “I divorced my ex because I saw them — I caught them having an affair. Someone sent me all their [text] conversations and I’m also close friends with people who were there, while things were happening.”
