The Sad Truth About Nicole Kidman’s Father

One thing is for certain: Elegant actress Nicole Kidman’s father, Dr. Antony Kidman, was a respected Australian psychologist and academic. During a career that took him from the United States to Australia and back again, he was viewed as a true professional, one who was willing to go the extra mile for clients and colleagues.

His background credentials are impeccable, with stints in Washington D.C. working for the National Institute of Mental Health. Once he returned to Australia, he met and married nurse-educator Janelle Glenny in 1963.

Their two daughters, Academy Award-winning actress, and producer Nicole Kidman and journalist daughter Antonia Kidman were, and are, stand out successes in their chosen fields. Apparently, Janelle and Antony’s marriage was an incredibly happy and supportive one. And when Nicole came along in 1963, followed by Antonia in 1970, it was one big happy family. And Antony’s career was going from strength.

And the family remained close. When ever-youthful Nicole Kidman hits the Red Carpet, her mom and dad occasionally joined her. They were a family who seemed to have it all.

But there was a lurking problem. And her name was Fiona Barnett. It was 2014 when things went wrong. In late 2014, just before Antony Kidman flew out to Singapore for a visit with his daughter Antonia, Fiona Barnett put her hand up and claimed that Kidman was a member of a child abuse ring. And, even worse, she claimed that he had abused her from childhood.

In September of 2014, Kidman visited his daughter Antonia in Singapore where she worked as a journalist and TV presenter. There were rumors that Kidman had an ulterior motive for visiting Singapore when he did. Most waved the whispers aside.

Then, out of the blue, Antony died on September the 12th. His sudden death shocked his family. Most reports say he died of a heart attack. Some mention a tragic accident, a fall. It was all a bit up in the air.

Let’s begin by saying, Fiona’s background and upbringing are more than a little vague. The one thing we can say with some certainty is that she is Australian. Whatever her background, she inhabits an alternative universe, where conspiracy theories involving those at the highest levels are her reality. And she has a purpose, a passion in life that involves defeating what she sees as the forces of evil. And, trust us, she sees evil everywhere.

Fiona has meticulously laid out a conspiracy theory where everyone from the CIA to the Catholic Church conspires to perpetuate child abuse and human trafficking. She throws in Lucifer and rituals and darkened rooms to good effect. Incredulously, there is mention of the likes of Meryl Streep and Richard Nixon as “perpetrators”. It goes without saying that she offers no concrete evidence, not one shred of proof to back up all her claims.

She came out big time in 2014 when Barnett testified before Austalia’s Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, naming Antony Kidman, amongst others as being a part of this child abuse cult.

Some less reputable outlets even claimed that Kidman had “fled” Australia to take refuge in Singapore in a bid to distance himself from Fiona’s claims. Undeterred, Barnett proclaimed his death as suspicious. It was, she said, something to do with the cult and “retribution”.
