Kim Kardashian ‘Didn’t Know’ Marilyn Manson Would Be at Kanye West’s Donda Event: Sources

As Kanye West’s Thursday event garners widespread backlash for his collaboration with accused s.e.x.u.a.l abuser Marilyn Manson, multiple sources tell PEOPLE that Kim Kardashian West didn’t know about Manson’s participation.

During the event at Chicago’s Soldier Field — the third listening party for West’s upcoming album Donda — Manson, 52, unexpectedly appeared on the porch of a replica of West’s childhood home on stage.

Manson, who is facing four s.e.x.u.a.l abuse lawsuits and has been accused by more than 15 women of s.e.x.u.a.l. assault, did not perform, though a spokesperson for the musician told PEOPLE his voice is featured on the new album. (Manson has previously denied the s.e.x.u.a.l. abuse allegations.)

West, 44, is also facing criticism for including DaBaby in the event, less than a month after the rapper, 29, came under fire for making homophobic remarks about the LGBTQ+ community. (He has since apologized.) – Source
