This three named actress who all of you know, despite her not being peak famous right now says that she now realizes the relationship she had with an actor in his mid twenties when she wasn’t old enough to drive, was really grooming and rape.

Considering he was convicted of something similar later, this is spot on.

EVERETT — Hollywood star Scott Bairstow and his attorney told a sentencing judge yesterday that the actor’s time behind bars is threatening to cut into his time before the camera.

“Out of sight, out of mind has never been more true than in the entertainment industry,” said Mitchell Egers, the Los Angeles attorney representing 33-year-old Bairstow.

The California actor, whose big-screen credits include “Tuck Everlasting” and “The Bone Snatcher,” pleaded guilty in December to second-degree assault of a young girl, a plea acknowledging he assaulted the victim with intent of second-degree molestation.

Yesterday Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Linda Krese sentenced the actor to four months behind bars. Standard sentencing ranges from three to nine months.

The film and TV star has already served 43 days in the Snohomish County Jail. He opted to go straight to jail after entering his Alford plea, which is made by defendants who maintain their innocence but acknowledge a jury would likely find them guilty.

A goateed Bairstow, in navy-blue jail jumper, hands and ankles chained, hair shorn close to scalp, yesterday apologized for the stress he caused the girl and her family, residents of Mukilteo, but still insisted “I did not rape her” in his court appearance.

The girl is related to Bairstow’s ex-wife. He was living in Mukilteo at the time of the alleged molestation.

The girl said Bairstow had begun touching her when she was 7 or 8, started having sex with her when she was about 12 and later called her in the night, breathing heavily and asking her to “talk dirty.”

Prosecutors and defense attorneys yesterday alluded to a sealed diary that talked about “the big secret” she shared with the defendant.

In a May conversation recorded by the police, she called the actor to talk about that secret. She said she was thinking of telling someone.

Bairstow, a father of two young children, who divorced from his wife in 2000, replied that he was a dad, with a job, and could be thrown in jail for 10 years if she told. “It would destroy my life,” he said.

Had the case gone to trial, and had he been convicted of second-degree child rape, Bairstow would have faced a penalty of up to eight years in prison and registration as a sex offender. – Source
