The University of Idaho demolished the off-campus house where four students were tragically stabbed to death in 2022.
Students Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves were fatally stabbed there in November 2022.
School officials, who in February announced plans to raze the house, view the demolition as a key step toward healing and finding closure, university spokesperson Jodi Walker said.
The property owner donated it to the university, and the demolition, initially planned for July, was delayed due to legal access granted to the suspect’s attorneys and prosecutors.
The suspect, Bryan Kohberger, faces four counts of first-degree murder, and his trial is proposed to start in the summer of 2024.
