I am actually shocked they ended up marrying.

The bride, who peaked at probably A- list, probably went through with it because she would have been embarrassed to cancel at the last minute, or maybe she really thought she could change the mind of the foreign born former A+ list comic actor who became her husband.

They fought so much leading up to their wedding that none of their closest friends thought they would go through with it. They had a massive fight the morning of their wedding.

They had huge fights over the prenup.

She wanted much more money than he was willing to give and he told her take it or leave it.

He would call her from the beds of other women and tell her they would take the deal, so she should too.

For the year they were married he made her life a living hell.

The only reason he even started dating her in the first place is because an actor he hated had shown interest in her so he went after her.

Her career was never the same after their marriage.

Our actor still has A+ list name recognition, but no one really likes him.

Lauren Holly

Jim Carrey

Married between: September 1996 – July 1997

Jim Carrey, known for his comedic brilliance, experienced high-profile romances, beginning with his first wife Melissa Carrey. They met in the 1980s during financial struggles, but their marriage ended in a public divorce, with Melissa accusing Jim of being blinded by fame. Following the divorce, Jim entered a relationship with “Dumb and Dumber” co-star Lauren Holly, leading to controversy. Melissa claimed Holly was involved before the divorce, but Holly insisted she and Carrey met in 1995 when he was single.

Despite Melissa’s accusations, Lauren Holly denied being a homewrecker, asserting that she and Jim Carrey met in 1995 when he was single. Despite the ongoing scrutiny, the couple’s date of separation was noted as 1993, months before Holly worked on “Dumb and Dumber” with Carrey. Their marriage, however, ended after a year, leading to Holly’s heartbreak.

Speaking to George Stroumboulopoulos in 2013, Holly admitted that she had a tough time after her divorce from Carrey.

“When we got divorced, I had a really hard time,” she shared, “because no one ever really had the story right or anything… I was going through a heartbreak.” She also explained how the paparazzi affected their marriage. “We made our lives… It was all about running away from them and making sure we had privacy,” she recalled.
