The rapper’s days in the US are numbered and he knows it which is why he keeps delaying the assault trial.

The Tory Lanez Trial Has Been Delayed Yet Again

Tory Lanez’ trial for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot has been pushed back again, because his lawyer is busy defending other celebrities. The trial was set to begin this month. According to Rolling Stone, a judge granted the defense’s request to push back the trial to December, because defense lawyer Shawn Holley is currently working on the confidential arbitration of Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer. Holley is also defending Danny Masterson in his October 11 rape trial.

On the night of July 12 2020, Megan Thee Stallion alleges that Tory Lanez shot at her feet while yelling “dance, bitch.” Megan suffered injuries on both feet, and only named Lanez as her assailant in August 2020. Also in the car that night was Kelsey Harris, former best friend of Megan Thee Stallion. Harris has fallen out with Megan since the incident, going so far as to release a diss track. Harris has been subpoenaed by prosecutors and has been ordered to return to court December 9. Jury selection for the trial begins December 5. – Source

Tory Lanez Chillin’ Outside Court … Megan Trial Delayed 2 Months

Tory Lanez doesn’t appear to have a worry gene in his DNA — his trial for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion was supposed to start Wednesday, but there was no concern on his face outside court.

We got him on camera Wednesday, entering and exiting the courthouse, and when we asked about his current mental state, Tory coolly replied he was “chilling.”

That level-headed response might’ve been due to the fact nothing really went down in court. The trial was postponed, yet again, partly because Tory’s lawyer is in the middle of another case.

The new trial date will be between November 28 and December 8.

An LAPD officer testified in December 2021 that Megan initially reported her injury to be caused by broken glass, before later claiming the injuries in her feet came from Tory shooting her while yelling “dance, bitch dance.”

She’s explained that, in the moment, she was protecting Tory … fearing that if she told cops he had a gun — this was just a few weeks after George Floyd’s murder — the situation could get worse. – Source
