Speaking of criminals, the initialed one who had his bail revoked is going to end up dead in jail.

Think about it.

He hasn’t had his drugs in two weeks.

When he finally gets them back, someone is going to be administering them to him.

They make a mistake and give him the wrong pill and he dies.

Then, that whole problem on both sides of the aisle goes away forever.

Sam Bankman-Fried

Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, is facing challenges in preparing for his upcoming trial while in jail, according to his lawyers.

They highlighted the lack of access to computers, essential medications for concentration, and a suitable vegan diet beyond basic provisions like bread, water, and peanut butter.

These concerns were raised during a hearing in a Manhattan federal court, subsequent to Bankman-Fried’s not guilty plea to seven charges, including wire fraud and conspiracy.

He was brought back from the Bahamas after being accused of embezzling billions from FTX customer deposits and spending large amounts on various business ventures, speculative investments, charitable donations, and illicit campaign contributions aimed at influencing cryptocurrency regulations in Washington.

Before his bail was revoked, Bankman-Fried had been permitted to live with his parents in their Palo Alto, California, home with strict rules limiting his access to electronic devices.

Lawyer Mark Cohen informed Netburn that Bankman-Fried had not been provided with the essential medication required for maintaining his focus since his incarceration on August 12.

Christian Everdell, another defense attorney, expressed to Netburn that Bankman-Fried’s ability to sufficiently ready himself for the trial was being restricted, given that he was permitted to review the extensive evidence, amounting to millions of pages, only on two specific days each week.

Judge Lewis A. Kaplan issued the order for his imprisonment after determining that there was sufficient reason to believe he had engaged in the federal offense of attempting to tamper with a witness.
