The news comes merely three months after Blanchard’s release from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri, where she served over eight years for her role in plotting the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, alongside her then-boyfriend Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn.

Taking to Facebook, the 32-year-old Blanchard shared the update, revealing the end of her marriage and her current living situation. She disclosed that she has moved back in with her parents down the bayou and expressed gratitude for the support of her family and friends during this challenging time. Blanchard also expressed a need for space and introspection, stating, “Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”

Blanchard and Anderson exchanged vows in a jailhouse ceremony in July 2022, devoid of any guests. In an interview conducted prior to her release in December 2023, Blanchard expressed her intention to remarry Anderson, a middle school special education teacher from Louisiana, once she was free. At the time, she conveyed excitement about starting a new life with Anderson and looked forward to moving in with him post-release.
