Al Sharpton on Thursday filed for divorce from his estranged wife of more than 15 years.

The 66-year-old Baptist minister is set to divorce his longtime wife Kathy Jordan Sharpton almost two decades after the couple split in 2004 after 24 years of marriage, according to documents filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The pair, who have two daughters together, Dominique and Ashley Sharpton, first met in the 1970s when Shaprton worked as James Brown’s road manager and Kathy as the music icon’s backup singer. – Source
