The only production scheduling issue on this now canceled network show was that the foreign born A- list actor lead with the famous last name, found the show inconvenient to his vacation schedule.

I mean, this is a guy who has taken a half dozen vacations all over the world, while also visiting the homes he owns in multiple countries.

He quit because he can make way more money doing a movie and not having a commitment to anything.

It is the same thing the A list everything in her mind did.

‘Prodigal Son’ Canceled By Fox After 2 Seasons

Fox has opted not to renew drama Prodigal Son for a third season. It is unclear yet whether leading studio Warner Bros TV would be shopping the series elsewhere. Sibling streamer HBO Max, which has previous seasons of Prodigal Son, would be a logical destination for the serialized serial killer drama.

Prodigal Son had an unusual — and challenging — production schedule stemming from the casting of Michael Sheen, which had been an obstacle throughout the show’s run.
