“She is making an effort to see her kids more”: Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Make Efforts to Bond With Sons Preston and Jayden Federline

Last year in 2022, when Britney Spears got married to Sam Asghari, her two sons decided to skip the wedding. As Sean Preston and Jayden James both were trying to process things around Spears’s new relationship with Asghari they reportedly decided not to attend their mother’s wedding. During an interview, Spears’s ex-husband and father of her two sons said,

“The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

Since they got married, the Inside Out singer and Asghari have been making an effort to get closer to Jayden James and Sean Preston. A source close to Spears said,

“She is making an effort to see her kids more, and Sam is also bonding with them.

In the past, both sons have had hard feelings towards their mother but according to sources, the boys treat Spears with respect.

After splitting from Federline in 2008, Spears lost custody of both of her sons. She was arrested when she refused to give her ex-husband custody of the kids. Both boys have since remained with their father. Spears spent 13 years under her father’s conservatorship, during which time her life decisions were under his control. Over time, Spears’ relationship with her boys deteriorated as a result of her mental health issues.

Jayden James and Sean Preston both had hard feelings towards their mother and in one of the interviews in the past, Jayden talked about his relationship with Spears. In his statement, Jayden stated,

“I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love, I don’t think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that.

He further added,

“We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place to process all the emotional trauma we’ve been through to heal and heal our mental state.” – Source
