With award season upon us, the alliterate director needs to try and clean up her mess which is why she got married.

She is hoping people will focus on that and not that she took her married boyfriend who is now her husband on vacation while the boyfriend’s wife gave birth to their child.

Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, recently got married in New York at City Hall.

The couple, who collaborated on the record-breaking Barbie movie, has been together for over a decade since meeting on the set of the 2010 film Greenberg. They officially started dating in 2011, got engaged in 2020.

Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their second son and Baumbach’s third. The announcement of their second child’s arrival came 4 months after his birth, confirmed in an Elle U.K. profile on the Barbie director.
