Austin-based Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones recently spoke to married reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt in Hawaii, and the couple had a conspiratorial take on why they’ve dropped of the entertainment map.

The stars of MTV’s early-2000s hit “The Hills” told Jones in a 30-minute interview that their public distrust of the New World Order is to blame for inconsistent TV work over the past decade. Pratt also said at one point that the 9/11 attacks were an inside job, which rankled many in the industry.

The New World Order conspiracy theory involves a secretive elite working to seize global power.
