Apparently, if you are the three named singing muse you grew up poor if you were taking private plane flights and your dad made millions.

When exactly was she poor and why does she go after fans who call her out about it?

Lana Del Rey

She write in a now deleted Instagram post:

“We had absolutely no money. That’s a little story the news loved to assign to me… that was back when they were allowed to just write lies about people. I grew up in a mountain town in a little house, and we struggled as much as everybody else in a town of 900. There is no other truth than that. If the story was true, I would own it just like I own my other issues. But I’m not going to pretend like I can own what having money would’ve been like or felt like – until I made some when I was 26. There are people who are well-known, who grew up rich. I’m not one of them.”

Lana Del Rey has been the subject of persistent rumors regarding the source of her success, with some suggesting that her career was facilitated by her family’s wealth. She recently addressed these speculations, attempting to provide insight into her upbringing and financial struggles. Del Rey mentioned her childhood in Lake Placid, portraying it as a rural and financially challenging environment. However, critics have questioned the authenticity of her depiction, pointing out inconsistencies with her family’s background. Del Rey’s parents worked in advertising in New York City before relocating to Lake Placid, which contradicts her portrayal of poverty.

His dad had restaurants and an array of companies and he also worked in real estate. Her paternal grandfather was also rich as an investment banker, a vice president for a company and a venture capitalist.

Additionally, her admission of relying on boyfriends for financial support during her early years in New York City has raised eyebrows. Despite Del Rey’s attempts to portray herself as a product of hardship, her family’s affluent background and her own experiences suggest a different narrative.
