Frontotemporal dementia primarily impacts the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, leading to behavioral changes, personality alterations, and language difficulties.
Williams (59), has previously dealt with lymphedema and Graves’ disease. Her team emphasized that despite these health issues, she can still manage many tasks independently and is undergoing appropriate treatment. They mentioned her enduring sense of humor and expressed gratitude for the support she has received. The decision to disclose her current health situation was tough but made with careful consideration.
This announcement coincides with the upcoming Lifetime documentary, “Where is Wendy Williams?,” shedding light on her physical and mental health struggles.
