More than 70 lawmakers demand for criminal investigation into Montreal-based MindGeek
More than 70 parliamentarians from all parties are calling for a full-on criminal investigation into Pornhub’s parent company.
The demand, spelled out in a letter Monday to RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki, follows a similar request by more than 100 survivors of exploitive content posted to websites owned by the Montreal-based MindGeek.
The letter cites recent testimony from victims and child-protection organizations that the porn giant regularly hosted material featuring child pornography and sexual assault, and videos shot or posted without subjects’ consent. – Source
Montreal luxury home of PornHub owner destroyed in suspected arson
MONTREAL — The Montreal luxury home of MindGeek executive Feras Antoon was destroyed in a serious fire that police suspect was intentionally set overnight.
Montreal police were called around 11:30 p.m. Sunday to respond to a report of two people breaking into a home under constuction located at the intersection of Jean-Bourdon and Antoine-Berthelet Avenues in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. The suspects are being sought by police but no arrests have been made, a police spokesperson said.- Source
