Speaking of reunions, this huge boy band that has never reunited, was going to do so without the biggest name, but he wouldn’t let them use the name of the band, so no go on the tour for now.

Chris Kirkpatrick Says Justin Timberlake Isn’t ‘Stopping’ An *NSYNC Reunion From Happening: ‘We’re All In Different Head Spaces’ – Oct 22

It’s been a long time since *NSYNC parted ways, and it sounds like there is no chance the five members — Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and JC Chasez — will ever return for a tour.

“You know, nothing right now — we’re all just kind of doing our own thing and you know, enjoying being single from the band. So there’s a lot that would have to happen for the five of us to agree on and that’s all across the board,” Kirkpatrick, 50, said on David Yontef’s “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast, which was published on Wednesday, October 5.

“That’s not pointing a finger at any one person — just the five of us are just in different places in our heads, and we’re trying to be busy, trying to stay busy. I’d be a lot busier if I didn’t get kicked off,” he said, referring to being eliminated from The Masked Singer.

When asked if the band would replace someone else with Timberlake, Kirkpatrick didn’t think that was a good idea.

“Well, no, because you know, first of all, the band was the five of us and second of all, Justin is not the one that’s stopping this all from happening,” he noted. “You know, like I said, we’re all kind of in different head spaces on what we could work and what would work. Even if the four or three of us going out on tour, the most you’ll probably ever get is the two of us — and that’s probably me and Joey clowning around doing the bunch of shows that we always do.” – Source

Lance Bass Says He’d Pick Darren Criss to Replace Justin Timberlake for *NSYNC Tour: ‘He Loves Boy Bands’ – August 22

If Lance Bass had to say “Bye Bye Bye” to Justin Timberlake should *NSYNC ever embark on a reunion tour, he already has a backup in mind.

During an appearance on Monday’s episode of the Pod Meets World podcast with Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle, Fishel asked Bass to dream-cast a stand-in should Timberlake, 41, decide not to do a hypothetical tour with the musical group that also included JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick.

“If you guys had to go on the road now as *NSYNC but you were gonna have somebody fill in for Justin — kinda like the way John Mayer is now in the Grateful Dead — who do you think you would choose to be in that role?” asked Fishel, 41.

Responded Bass, 43, “Oh, I know exactly who it would be. He’s really great with harmonies. A lot of people don’t know that he kinda came from, [in] college, he studied music and [he’s] amazing with harmonies: Darren Criss.” – Source
