Chris Bosh Found to Have Career-Ending Illness by Medical Review – 2017

Chris Bosh’s NBA career has likely come to an end after a medical review confirmed the 11-time All-Star has a career-ending illness.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported a medical review from the NBA and NBPA “agreed with the Miami Heat’s position that [Bosh] has suffered a career-ending illness.”

As Winderman noted, the Heat will now be able to place Bosh on waivers to clear his salary from their cap. He’s due to make $25.3 million next season and $26.8 million in 2018-19 as part of the five-year deal he signed in 2014.

Bosh was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lungs during the 2015 All-Star break and missed the rest of the season. He appeared in 53 games during the 2015-16 season before being shut down again with a blood clot in his calf. – Source

Andrew Gillum Says ‘I Identify as Bisexual’ in First Interview Since Hotel Scandal with Another Man

Andrew Gillum told Tamron Hall in a sit-down on Monday that he is bisexual — a revelation as part of his first interview since he was caught in the middle of a scandal in March that led to him enter rehab and retreat from his once-promising career.

The Democratic politician, who lost the 2018 Florida governor’s race by less than half a percentage point to Ron DeSantis, made headlines this spring after he was found drunk in a hotel room with another man who may have overdosed on drugs and was treated by responders, according to local police.

Authorities also said that a substance suspected to be meth was found in the room, though Gillum said he had only had alcohol.

The other man identified himself as an escort through the website Rent Men, according to a local TV news article. He told the Miami New Times in March that he and Gillum had been “friends for a while.” – Source
