If things go as poorly as it looks as it will today in court for the celebrity cult, there have been discussions about settling all the lawsuits against it and just making it all go away.

The constant negative publicity is never good for business.

A lawsuit against the Church of Scientology involving alleged sexual abuse and forced marriage faced a setback when Scientology leader David Miscavige motioned to remove the judge from the case.

This happened shortly after the judge issued a tentative ruling against the church’s motion to compel arbitration.

The plaintiff’s lawyer expressed suspicion over the timing of Miscavige’s motion.

Despite objections, the judge believed he was legally obligated to grant the motion, leading to the case being reassigned to a new judge.

The lawsuit, filed by an unnamed plaintiff known as Jane Doe, accuses the church of tolerating and facilitating sexual abuse of minors.

The plaintiff alleges she was sexually abused by a member of the church’s elite Sea Org and was forced into a marriage to cover up the abuse.

The plaintiff signed a contract with the church in 2002, agreeing to resolve disputes through Scientology’s internal arbitration procedures.

However, the judge deemed the arbitration clause invalid due to federal law and its one-sided nature.

This is not the first time Miscavige has successfully removed a judge from a lawsuit against him and the church.

The Church of Scientology is also facing other legal battles, including one involving allegations of covering up sexual assaults by actor Danny Masterson.
