There was quite a kerfuffle at a charity event recently, when it was time to take some candid photos backstage. You know, the cutsey pictures of the celebrities getting ready to perform or clowning around. Well, this former solid B list singer, with the same level of name recognition, but not in the limelight anymore, refused to pose for pictures with this former A-list singer. Not because of any past issues the former A-lister might have had that have been tabloid fodder, but because of her diva behavior during the charity event. The other performers had to make a lot of concessions to accomodate the former A-lister and her entourage. She even had an assistant demand that the B-lister move her guests from their paid seats so that her people who demanded comp seats could have a better spot to watch the show. The former A-lister was also a complete nightmare during all of the press for this event, by refusing to do anything other than solo interviews and promotions. She would not sit with the other talent to talk to reporters, and she pitched a fit over where she was staged in the promo shots. So when it was time for some candids backstage, the former A-lister got all chummy with the B-lister and wanted to pose for some pictures. The B-lister politely declined and walked away. The former A-lister didn’t get it and thought she was joking and kept pressing the issue until the B-lister finally said, “Back off. I don’t want my picture taken with you. I don’t even want to be in this building with you.” The former A-lister laughed it off said something like, “It would only help you to be seen with me,” and scampered away for some more pictures with her people backstage. Just so you know, when the show was over, the crew gave a standing ovation when the former A-lister left.
