Christmas is coming early for General Hospital fans. After a well-deserved vacation, Genie Francis is back on set as Laura Webber Collins on the ABC soap opera. Soap Hub has the details on her return and when viewers can see her.

ABC7, the Los Angeles ABC affiliate, reported the news of Francis’s return with entertainment reporter George Pennacchio sharing the details. A specific air date isn’t included in the report, however, Pennacchio shared that she’ll be back in “early December.”

“It’s the perfect time to come back, isn’t it Christmas?” says Francis, who shared back in August that she was taking a break as Laura. Knight) talking about their other sibling Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and how his threats caused them to go into hiding.

Castmates chimed in on GH legend’s return. “She’s like my kind of grandma on the show and it’s always so sweet to get some affection from the amazing Genie Francis,” said William Lipton, whose character Cameron calls Laura’s son Lucky his stepfather. “She’s really, really amazing to work with,” says TV grandson Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer). “She just beams whenever you see her.”- Source
