Actor Timothée Chalamet lost his composure on Twitter after finding out one of his idols, hip-hop star Kid Cudi, called him his favorite artist right now.

“UHMM OKAY STRIKE ME THE FUCK DOWN,” Chalamet tweeted, quoting Cudi’s response to a fan who asked him who is favorite artist of the moment was. The Academy Award-nominated actor of Call Me by Your Name then followed up with a nonsensical missive possibly expressing disbelief and general “is this really happening?” vibes: “ADHXJKSDKSHKXNFUDKDNXHKDM.” – Source

Last night, Timothée Chalamet joined Kid Cudi onstage to perform at ComplexCon in Long Beach. Okay, he only actually recited Common’s intro from Cudi’s 2009 album Man on the Moon: The End of Day then wandered about bobbing his head, but he did a pretty good job of opening the show all the same.

Pusha T also joined the pair onstage to perform his verse on the track “Feel the Love” from Kids See Ghosts, Cudi’s collaborative 2018 album with Kanye West.

While Chalamet might seem like a slightly odd choice for the show’s opener, he’s actually got ties to Kid Cudi, besides just seeming to be a massive fan (see: his response to Kid Cudi calling him his “favourite artist” in early 2018). – Source
