During a recent episode of his podcast, “Andy Cohen’s Daddy Diaries,” TV host Andy Cohen opened up about falling victim to a scam, resulting in a significant financial loss.

The 55-year-old shared that he received a call from someone claiming to be from his bank, alerting him to potential fraud on his account, coinciding with his request for a new bank card.

He inadvertently gave scammers access to his bank app by entering his Apple ID and password.

Despite realizing the suspicious activity, Cohen stayed on a call with the scammers for over an hour as they discussed alleged charges on his account.

Unbeknownst to him, call forwarding had been set up during this conversation, allowing the scammers to confirm unauthorized wire transfers from his accounts.

Despite resetting passwords and taking steps to recover his funds, the scam had already taken its toll.

Cohen discovered that the calls meant to verify the transactions had been forwarded to the scammers, highlighting the intricacies of the elaborate scheme.
