This athlete got a lot of attention for not standing up.

With his fat salary and the encouragement of his girlfriend, he felt empowered to express his opinion.

Now that he’s out of a job, though, he’s suddenly softened his position on a topic to which he was extremely committed.

Did this mean his morality has shifted?

Someone in the executive offices of a professional sports team provided us with some insight:

Don’t believe anything you read about why he’s doing this.

He is lying lying lying!!!

If anything, he has become MORE angry and MORE militant in his beliefs over the past year.

That girlfriend of his has a lot to do with it.

She really gets him riled up.

The truth is he’s been told that the only way he’s going to get hired is to publicly shut it.

If he wants a job and money and a platform for his cause, he needs to STFU for a while.

So he’s laying low and doing whatever he has to do to get himself an offer.

There are a bunch of teams that won’t even look at him, so I don’t know if his little scam is going to work.

Somebody might pick him up.

Just know that he hasn’t changed his thinking.

He is just LYING about it to get a job!
