Iggy Azalea Says She Only Has 60 Fans, Vents About Failure to Chart
Iggy Azalea’s upcoming sophomore studio album is titled Surviving the Summer, but a more apt title may be Surviving the Streaming Era.
Azalea is speaking out about the lukewarm reception to her 2018 comeback single “Savior,” released back on February 6, blaming her fan base for poor streaming numbers and for the track’s failure to chart.
In a since-deleted tweet posted Wednesday (April 4), the Australian rapper responded to a user who suggested the Azaleans—the artist’s fan base—are the strongest music fandom, questioning the claim.
“No offense, I love y’all, but are we the strongest fandom?” she asked. “‘Cause we have no chart debut and terrible streaming.”
Azalea also revealed she believes she has a small following, adding, “I love all of you but that’s highly debatable. There’s like 60 Azaleans.”- Source
