The face lift/lip filler comedian will be dead before long.

Why mess with the doll or even take the chance.

Matt Rife

Guess who just leveled up in the spooky stakes? Comedian Matt Rife, the guy who cracks you up on TikTok—has officially stepped into the shoes of supernatural steward by becoming the legal guardian (though not the legal owner) of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s famed Occult Museum and its whole creepy collection… including the legendary Annabelle Doll

Here’s the scoop:

In a recent TikTok reveal, Rife (29) and his buddy, YouTube creator Elton Castee, announced they’ve bought the iconic Monroe, Connecticut home and museum that once belonged to the Warrens—the paranormal power couple behind The Conjuring universe.

But plot twist: while they own the property, they’re only caretakers—not owners—of the more than 750 haunted artifacts, including Annabelle, for the next five years.

The duo has big plans. That long-shuttered museum (closed since 2019 due to zoning issues) will soon re-open for immersive day, night, and weekend tours.

Rife captured the vibe perfectly. “This is the most random hobby ever, but it’s so f—ing cool, man,” he admitted with trademark charm.

The Annabelle doll itself—famously housed in a glass case and said to be possessed—has already made the rounds on TikTok via the “Devils on the Run” tour. The tour’s host, Dan Rivera, tragically passed away in July—but authorities confirmed the doll wasn’t present at his death scene.

Annabelle 101: The Doll Matt Rife Just Agreed to Babysit

Not movie-pretty
Forget porcelain glam. The real Annabelle is a plain Raggedy Ann doll with red yarn hair… and a bad attitude.

Creepy pen pal
Reportedly left handwritten “Help me” notes on parchment paper the owners didn’t even own.

Demon in disguise
Ed and Lorraine Warren believed it wasn’t a little girl’s ghost at all — but a demonic entity pretending to be one.

Paranormal Upgrade
A psychic told the roommates the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a 7-year-old girl named Annabelle Higgins who died on the property. The women agreed to “let her stay” – bad idea.

Gift Gone Wrong
A nursing student named Donna received her as a gift from her mother in 1970. Soon after, Donna and her roommate began noticing the doll moving to different rooms on its own.

Under lock & prayer
Kept in a glass case with a “Positively Do Not Open” sign and blessed regularly by priests.

Deadly dare
Legend says a museum visitor mocked her, banged on the glass… and died in a motorcycle crash hours later.

Escape artist?
In 2020, the internet panicked over rumors she’d “escaped.” Spoiler: she hadn’t.

VIP treatment
Travels in a sealed case with handlers, like the diva of haunted artifacts.

Cultural Icon
Thanks to The Conjuring and Annabelle film series, the doll has become one of the most famous haunted objects in pop culture — with her own fanbase and merchandise.
