Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a public announcement on Wednesday regarding his separation from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

Justin Trudeau’s office said in a statement following the news that the couple have signed a “legal separation agreement.”

What happened:

March 2020 – Idris Elba and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau tested positive for coronavirus shortly after posing for a photo together at WE Day charity event in London.

Sophie shared the photo on her Instagram on March 5.

Elba later revealed in a video that he got tested after being in contact with someone else who tested positive for COVID-19, but it’s unclear if he was referring to Sophie.
