Disgraced attorney Tom Girardi, best known as Erika Jayne’s estranged husband from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has been sentenced to 7 years and 3 months in federal prison for embezzling millions from vulnerable clients — including families of the 2018 Lion Air crash victims.
The 86-year-old was also ordered to pay $2.3 million in restitution and a $35,000 fine. Prosecutors say Girardi spent over a decade siphoning off settlement funds, spinning fake excuses while funding a lavish lifestyle — including bankrolling Jayne’s entertainment company, EJ Global.
His former accountant got 10 years, and another ex-lawyer from his firm faces trial next month.
Despite claims of Alzheimer’s, Girardi was ruled fit for trial.
He must surrender by July 17.
Meanwhile, Erika Jayne, now performing in London, maintains she knew nothing of the fraud and was dismissed from the related lawsuit in 2022.
