In April 2012, rumors swirled about an alleged affair between Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan, causing tension among friends. Karan Johar, a close friend of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, defended Gauri and criticized the use of PR tactics to spread rumors. Priyanka’s friend supported her, stating she had done nothing wrong and suggesting any issues between Shah Rukh and Gauri should be addressed privately. The beef seems over now. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were also at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre opening in Mumbai, along with so many other Indian celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan.
